The Coal Face at Sound + Vision

It was a pleasure  for Vision Fountain to be part of Sound+Vision 2019.  The Coal Face was commissioned by Ffotogalley in November 2018 as part of Arts Council Wales research and development project to devise a method of creating 3-d portraits in the field.

It was a mamoth task to arrange to photograph the miners. Luckily we could build o previous work.

We photographed several miners in our new mobile 3-d studio.

Time was tight and BAFTA-winning soundscape artist John Rea was in Gorilla’s sound-studio right up until deadline.

The Coalface opend at the Senedd, The Welsh National Assembly and Shift simultaneously April 2019.
