For the past five months Vision Fountain have been working on an exciting project with Rhondda Heritage Park / Rhondda Cynon Taff Council : a virtual mining experience aimed at young learners.
“Pwll Bach Cwm Rhondda” is a virtual drift mine in the Rhondda Valley.
The virtual mine , that exists within VR headsets, and is built on the Unreal gaming engine, is a fully portable experience, that will introduce children to their local heritage and their local museum via gaming applications and technology with which they are familiar and comfortable.
ArborXR have been helping to ensure a fully safe-gaurded experience.
This exciting project, made possible through the Welsh Government’s Winter of Wellbeing fund and the foresight of the team Rhondda Heritage Park, is undergoing user testing.
