Vision Fountain partner with museums, galleries, community groups and artists to deliver innovative and immersive audio-visual projects.

The backbone is story-telling.

The stories are achieved by immersing ourselves in communities and discovering their stories.

We have 25 years of award winning photo-journalistic and investigative experience enabling us to identify meaningful stories.  Working alongside communities, local museums and using the most advanced technology we deliver story-telling in a new and exciting way. A way that resonates.

Projects aim to re-inforce the importance of place, local culture, heritage and the arts, through creative workshops.

We recently worked alongside The National Waterfront Museum, Swansea (Museum of Wales / Amgueddfa Cymru) and Rhondda Heritage Park to the “Last Generation of Coalminers. The project recorded oral testimonies and 3D portraits of Welsh miners.  Outreach has introduced local heritage to young learners via advanced 3D gaming technology.  Two exhibitions attracted over 80,000 visitors.

A Park for Our Time was delivered with CADW and The Car, The Future, Me was created with the Bristish Motor Museum and Arts Council England.

Oral History

Vision Fountain have delivered projects with the following partners. In every project community storytelling has formed the backbone with oral testimonies being a crucial part of outreach and the exhibition.

We aim to give voice to the communities whose lives and experinces should be intergral to the stories that are told in public spaces.

We are keen to incorporate innovative modes of audio-visual interpretation, including;  Virtual Reality (VR), full 3D photography, 360°image / video,  time-lapse, video, recorded voice and soundscape.

We use a wide range of techniques in with immerisive storyteling. Recorded voice, soundcape, 3D models, time-lapse parallax image animations and we are exploring virtual reality.

Soundcapes

As well as recording and editing oral histories, Vision Fountain collect environmental sounds and collaborate with audio artists and musicians to create immersive soundscapes.

Soundscapes and recorded voice are one of the most powerful “tools” in immersive story-telling.
