Just delivered a “digital installation” to The winding House Museum that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the closure of Elliot Colliery.
More than that the short film celebrates the massive and important contribution the miners made to the community.
It was hard work to find some of the ex-miners, many of whom had left the area. But they were very happy and willing to tell their stories of working in the mine and have their photographs taken. The conversations are mixed with old archive images that have been animated and brought back to life.
The exhibition opening, that will feature the short film, will be end of October. Watch this space.
