“Behind the Picket Lines” is a pop-up exhibition that commemorates the 40th Anniversary of the Welsh Miners’ Strike.

The pop-up event includes large printed banners, an audio-visual installation a soundscape and features Wales’ first interactive virtual reality mining experience.

For over five years, Vision Fountain have conducted interviews with the individuals impacted by the 1984 – 1985 miner’s strike and used them as a basis for the exhibition.

The exhibition delves into the perspectives of men and women from Wales who fought to preserve the Welsh coal industry.

The exhibition has been designed to promote conversations and to visit areas that are often left-out from multi-media exhibition events. “Behind the Picket Lines” can be adapted for a range of  community spaces, such as museums and libraries.

Vision Fountain will provide comprehensive support, including trained staff, all materials, audio-visual hardware, and virtual reality hardware.
