Heath Park – A Park for Our Time
“A Park for Our Time” is one of the “15-Minute Heritage” series of projects by National Lottery Heritage Fund (Wales), CADW and Welsh Government that highlights local heritage important for our health and wellbeing.
During the past six months over two hundred individual, of all ages, from sports enthusiasts to daily walkers, have been photographed, filmed and interviewed.
Photographers Tomos Kay (@tomoskayphotography) and Tom Gower (@tomgowerphotography) have captured some of the park’s regulars to create a set of portraits that was displayed in the park’s woods 11th, 12th and 13th June.
We had 791 visitors to the outdoor exhibition and film screening.
Birchgrove Primary School have composed a song to go with the 15 Minute film the Heritage fund commissioned. The film was screened at Heath Community Halls and Llwynfedw Gardens Bowling Pavillion .
The project has been made possible with funding from the National Heritage Lottery Fund and would not be possible without the continued support af all Lottery Players.
The out-door photo exhibition (see film below) in Heath Park attracted almost 800 visitors and was featured in the Guardian and Walesonline.
