We had a great morning today at Maerdy Community Centre with Cwm Taf People’s First.
We were able to introduce members to a range of immersive experiences that we’ve produced, including immersive video and interactive virtual reality. This gave us a valuable first opportunity to begin understanding members’ different needs, preferences and responses to the variety of content we provided.
It also allowed us to introduce the group to our new Meta Quest 3 headsets. From a technical point of view, they are a clear improvement, but what stood out most for users was their smaller size, lighter weight and better balance.
A massive thank you to Arts Council Wales and Welsh Government for enabling us to update our equipment.

Cawsom gyfle i gyflwyno’r aelodau i amrywiaeth o brofiadau ymdrochol, gan gynnwys fideo ymdrochol a phrofiadau realiti rhithwir rhyngweithiol. Rhoddodd hyn gyfle gwerthfawr cyntaf i ni ddechrau deall anghenion, dewisiadau ac ymatebion gwahanol yr aelodau wrth i’r prosiect ddatblygu.
Roedd hefyd yn gyfle i gyflwyno’r grŵp i’n pen-setiau Meta Quest 3 newydd. O safbwynt technegol, maent yn gam clir ymlaen, ond yr hyn a wnaeth yr argraff fwyaf ar y defnyddwyr oedd eu maint llai, eu pwysau ysgafnach a’u gwell cydbwysedd.
