“Untold Stories of Welsh Global Heritage”

The project “Untold Stories of Welsh Global Heritage” will connect with a wide range of people living in Wales with global heritage backgrounds.

If you or your ancestors immigrated to Wales, we would love to hear your story. Every person and every story is unique.

We are interested in speaking with individuals from Italy, India, Pakistan, Poland, Somalia (Somaliland), Yemen, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Ukraine, Syria, Hong Kong, China, Japan and more.

We explore heritage related to place, family, food, festivals, clothing, and more, using print, sound, video, and virtual reality.

Project-related exhibitions will occur across Wales until 2026, including at the Welsh Senedd (May / July 2025).

**The purpose of the project is to:**

– Raise awareness about the importance of global heritage in shaping Wales.

– Create project exhibitions that generate conversations.

– Introduce people to global culture.

– Contribute to the national archive.

**Why have you been chosen?**

Your story and cultural heritage are vital parts of the Welsh Global Heritage narrative, making an important contribution to the project.
