Vision Fountain have had the good fortune to work with Cardiff Metropolitan University on our current project “Last Generation of Coalminers” (currently exhibiting at Rhondda Heritage Park, next Museum of Wales’, Waterfront Museum) . The project captures the oral histories of Welsh miners, from across the South Wales coalfield , as well as full 3D portraits of the miners.
Cardiff Metropolitan University provided a student for work placement / work experience.
Tiz, a student from the Department of Photography and under the tutorage of Senior Lecturer in Photography, Dr Duncan Cook, has been working with Vision Fountain for a over a month.
As well as being given a photot assignment related to “Last Generation of Coalminers” , a project funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, Tiz, has been helping out with some of our recording sessions and 3D photogrammetry shoots related to the project.
Tiz has performed brilliantly is all aspects of the work he has been assigned. We are looking forward to showing-off his photo assignment. Tiz has travelled through-out the South Wales valleys to some wonderful locations to capture some beautiful imagery.
Well done Tiz ! And thank you to Cardiff Met for providing such an enthusiatic and talentend young man.
